STOPWATCH GUIDANCE

1.

STOPWATCHES

1.1

All Premier Division teams have been issued with stopwatches for the optional purpose of timing the games.

1.2

This stopwatch is the responsibility of each team that has been issued with one, and should it be lost or damaged, then that team will refund the league the sum of £6, on receipt of which the league will issue a new stopwatch. Teams will not be allowed to purchase their own stopwatch as a replacement.

1.3

If the team leaves the Premier Divisions, the stopwatch will be returned to the league in full working order.

1.4

The replacement of batteries in the stopwatch is the responsibilty of the team that the watch has been issued to.

ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE

2.1

The timekeeper nominated by the away team is in total control of the timekeeping. If the home team wish to verify the timekeeping, they should nominate a member of their own team to sit with the timekeeper.

2.2

The captain of the away team should ensure that the opposing team know who the person doing the timekeeping is.

2.3

The timekeeper should ensure that they have an uninterrupted view of the table, ensuring that start and stop times are accurate.

2.4

The timekeeper should also make sure that they are in audible distance of the table.

2.5

The timekeeper must clearly call '30 Seconds' when this time is reached halfway through the time period.

2.6

The timekeeper must call 'Time Foul' at the end of the time period (60 seconds), and the stopwatch must not be reset until the player that time has been called against, or the referee's, have had the opportunity yo verify the time if they so wish.

2.7

It is the players responsibility to ensure that they play their shot within the time allowed.
